Global Phase III studies are ongoing in 15,000 patients in the RESULTANT I and II studies.  Primary endpoints are arterial wall thickness dimensions but the studies have been sized to investigated secondary cardiovascular and cerebrovascular morbidity and mortality endpoints.  Recent announcements were made of our partnerships in Far East and now we are seeking our European partner for sales. manufacturing and distribution.

Primate and Phase IIa studies demonstrate atheroma plaque regression within 13 weeks and this is support by lipid kinetic analysis models.  The pre-clinical anti-inflammatory properties may additionally provide augmentation and stabilize the unstable plaque.  Data on this was present at ACC in Atlanta this Spring.

Partnering Intent:

Our global partnership with Enable CRO and funding by Genesis Financial Solutions LLC means that the Global CTA and CTA/MAA submissions will be undertaken by our strategic partnership entity.  This posting relates to securing an European sales and distribution deal subsequent to a centralized approval, anticipated mid 2012.  Both specialized and primary field force capabilities are required due to the life-cycle opportunities.  Gaps in the geographical countries covered must be addressed by the European partner.  Expressions of interest to be received by Sept 2010 which will be following by capability presentations in the first week of October in Paris.
